New School Uniform

The school uniform for Gorseybrigg is changing. The Governors and I want to give Gorseybrigg a more distinct image which will help make us stand out amongst the schools in our immediate area and have therefore chosen a colour different to our nearest neighbours. Below, you will find some answers to questions that we think parents may wish to ask, but please let us know if there is anything we have missed. Most of all, we want our children to look really smart when they represent us both in and out of school, reflecting how special and unique Gorseybrigg is!

What is the new uniform?

Bottle green sweatshirt, cardigan or sweat cardigan with white polo shirt

Black trousers, skirt, pinafore dress, shorts

Bottle green or black pinafore dress

Green gingham summer dress

Black shoes, tights, socks

What will children wear for P.E.?

We have updated our P.E. kit completely to a smarter sports shirt in green and black (which doesn’t need ironing!). This can be worn with black shorts, black tracksuit bottoms/leggings and a plain black hoody in colder weather. Children should also have black P.E. pumps/trainers

When can I buy the new uniform?

We know that a changeover such as this will mean that many parents may have already bought items of our blue uniform recently. We therefore will officially launch the new uniform in September 2020. However, any parents wishing to buy new uniform now are welcome to changeover from now.

Who are the school suppliers of uniform with the new logo?

The recommended supplier of the school uniform and whom we have been working closely with on the designs are Pinders Schoolwear in Crystal Peaks market or (www.pindersschoolwear.co.uk) online. We are also in discussion with School Trends and hope that they will also be able to supply our new uniform as they have done in the past.

Can we purchase uniform without the logo on?

With the exception of the P.E. shirt, all other uniform does not need to have a school logo. We have found that Asda, Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer all stock standard black and bottle green uniform.
