World Book Day

Takes place on: 5th March 2026

To celebrate World Book Day, we are inviting all children to come to school dressed in their pyjamas for our Cosy Read. We would also like to invite a parent or grandparent to join us from 9am (after the registers have been taken) to share breakfast and a book in the classroom with their child. One adult only per child, please, otherwise we will be rather overcrowded! Please wait outside your child’s classroom door and the teacher will let you in.

Children will resume their lessons at 9:30am and, if parents would like to stay, you are invited to join me, Mrs MacLeod, in the hall for coffee and cake; a discussion about our Year of Reading and the opportunity for a general chat.
